题 目:偏微分方程:作用、分析与数值求解

主讲人简介:

江松,应用数学家,北京应用物理与计算数学研究所研究员。1982年毕业于四川大学数学系,1984年在西安交通大学获硕士学位,1988年在德国波恩大学获博士学位,1996年获德国教授(授课)资格(Habilitation)。2015年当选中国科学院院士。

主要从事可压缩流体力学数学理论、计算方法及应用研究。在(高维)可压缩Navier-Stokes方程的适定性理论、小马赫数极限、流体与磁流体Rayleigh-Taylor不稳定性的数学分析研究方面取得了一系列重要成果,例如对任何绝热指数γ>1,与合作者证明了具有大外力的三维定常可压缩Navier-Stokes方程弱解的存在性。在应用方面,针对武器物理数值模拟的多介质大变形、网格畸变等计算难点,合作提出了若干实用的新算法,并研制完成重大武器型号数值模拟软件平台。

获国家自然科学二等奖、军队科技进步一等奖、中国青年科技奖、求是杰出青年奖等。

Brief Introduction of Professor Song Jiang

Song Jiang, an applied mathematician, is Professor at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (IAPCM). He took an undergraduate degree (B.Sc) in 1982 at Sichuan University, received a master degree in 1984 at Xi'an Jiaotong University and a Ph.D in 1988 at University of Bonn. He also received a Habilitation degree in 1996 at Germany. He was elected as an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015.

Song Jiang’s main research areas lie in mathematical theory, computing methods for compressible fluid mechanics and their applications. He has made a series of significant achievements in well-posedness and low Mach number limits for (multi-dimensional) compressible Navier-Stokes equations, and the mathematical analysis for the Rayleigh-Taylor instability in gas dynamics and MHD. Especially, for any adiabatic exponent γ>1, collaborated with others, he proved existence of weak solutions to three-dimensional steady compressible Navier-Stokes equations with large forces. Besides, aiming at the difficulties of multicomponent large distortion and mesh distortion in numerical simulation of weapon physics, he put forward in cooperation several practical new algorithms and developed a software platform for numerical simulation of major weapon models.

Among many awards he has received include: Second prize of Chinese National Natural Science, First Prize of the Military Science and Technology Progress, The National Award for Youth in Science and Technology, and Qiushi Outstanding Youth Award.
