In this talk, I will first survey some well known sphere theorems under different curvture coditions. After that I will introduce our recent work (joint with Linlin Sun) about sphere theorems for manifolds or submanifolds with scalar curvature pinched by sectional curvatures. I will also give proofs of our main results if time permits.
