Regional controllability for a class of time fractional diffusion systems

In recent years, the studies of sub-diffusive transport processes have drawn increasing attention and time fractional diffusionsystemshave been provided to well model them.The reason is thatfractionalorder derivative is defined as a kind of convolution and good at modeling the dynamics inheriting memory and heritageproperties where integer-order derivative approaches appear to fail. Here we explore the regional controllabilityof a class of time fractional diffusion systems. An approach to guarantee the regional controllability of the considered problems in somesubregion of the whole domain with minimum energy control is described and successfullytested through a numerical example.We hope that the obtained results could provide some insight into the control theory analysis for the time fractional diffusion system.
